Ma Countertops

Ma countertops are a work of beauty. Not only do the fascinating designs in the stone itself lend to making a beautiful statement in your home, but the cut of the granite on that countertop can add even more ambience. There are twelve different edges available on your Ma countertops. If you don't know what type to choose, consider a consultation with a representative at Silva's Stone to work through your needs and reach a conclusion.

Following are the twelve different styles with a brief description of the design: " Pencil - has a very slight rounded edge at the top and bottom of the countertop.

" 3/8 Rounded - is rounded by 3/8 of an inch from just the top of the counter and only slightly at the bottom that faces outwards.

" ¼ Bevel - a ¼ inch is straight cut at an angle from the top of the counter.

" ½ Bevel - the same as the ¼ inch bevel, just has a deeper cut.

" 1" Bevel -has a 1 inch straight cut across the top of the counter and only a slight roundnation at the bottom.

" Full Bull Nose - is probably one of the more popular cuts to an edge of a Ma countertop. This is completely rounded from the top to the bottom of the edge that sticks out.

" Half Bull Nose - the second most popular cut to a countertop. The top half of the edge is rounded while the bottom half stays flat.

" Demi Bull Nose - this edge is cut similar to the half bull nose, but is a deeper roudning from the top edge. The bottom stays flat.

" Ogee - is a fancy cut, used for bars and bathroom countertops. The ogee is cut out on the top half and then rounded down and out from the bottom.

" Double Ogee - the double is similar to the regular ogee, but is has a notch cut in halfway through the design.

" Dupont - this Ma countertop edge has a cut straight down, then flairs out in to a rounded bull nose on the bottom half of the counter edge.

" Waterfall - is a fancy cut that has three rounded bullnose shapes, which appear just like the name, a waterfall.

There are certain styles that will work in any situation you have a need for a Ma countertop. Then there are others that will not work so well for the function you want them in. For example, if you have children you will be feeding at a bar edge on an island, you don't necessarily want to have an ogee or a double ogee design facing them. It will catch crumbs and spills and be harder to clean up. If you are unsure of what type of edge to have cut in to your Ma countertops, feel free to call an expert at Silva's Stone. They will be more than happy to go over all the pros and cons of each design or even come up with a one of a kind design, that fits your needs perfectly.
